So how does it work?

We all live inside a physical body made up of bones, muscle tissue, organs and vessels. Our physical body is also made up of a large amount of water and systems that house energy, such as our chakras, auric field and meridians. These energy centres are found in many locations within our body and they are very sensitive to changes in the environment, emotional upsets and physical trauma. Consequently, any form of physical, emotional and spiritual trauma can have profound effects. The physical body often begins to suffer from tension, aches and pains, injury and disease. When the energetic body is affected, emotional disturbances such as increased stress and anxiety, depression, self- doubt, lack of confidence, obsessive thoughts and behaviours, hypersensitivity to loud sounds and discomfort in crowds are just some the symptoms that become evident. If the energetic blockages are left for prolonged periods of time within the energetic field, physical symptoms such as illness and disease can occur.

Shamanics helps clear the energetic field (the auras) as well as blockages within the energetic circuitry (the chakras and meridians) through the use of energy healing, meditation and breathing techniques. Clearing of the energetic circuitry begins to heal the emotional or physical disturbance at its source. When the source is more emotional, the shamanic practitioner brings the client’s awareness to where the emotions are being held in their body and then assist’s in their release. When a disease like Cancer is already present in the physical body, awareness is brought to the emotional, spiritual and environmental sources that may be contributing to its manifestation in the physical body.

Case History:

32 year old female diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

Subjective History:

I have been receiving psychotherapy for approximately 6 years. I wash my hands frequently before I leave the house often until they are raw. I can’t seem to get them clean enough. I have to check and re-check the door to my home and my car to ensure that they are locked. I also frequently check that my stove is off before I can leave home every day. I do not go out and I feel isolated from my family and friends. I can’t allow them into my home as I am afraid that they will contaminate everything they touch. I am unable to attend family events as being with crowds triggers my anxiety and then I need to wash.

Objective Findings:

Energetic blockages were found in her Sacral, Heart, Third eye and Root Chakras. All of her acupuncture meridians were blocked. Her Auric field was full of blockages and tears. She has a history of emotional abuse, and suffers from severe anxiety. Through connecting with her on a deep level it was revealed that she was made to feel “dirty” and unsafe as a child. These emotions were being held in her root, sacral and heart chakras, her heart organ, along her spine and in her hands. She had started living in her head so that she did not have to feel the emotions in her body.

Treatment: Awareness was brought to her emotions and their locations through sharing in a safe and supportive environment. Breathing, sounding, mediation, visualization and grounding techniques were used to begin the healing process. Energy healing to clear the emotional and energetic blockages was provided to all of the involved energy centres.
